Displayed through a double-sided Jacquard weave, the visual motifs of this merino wool and cashmere blanket are inspired by the specialized jockey jerseys and horse rugs crafted at the Hermès workshop on Faubourg Saint-Honoré, which operated from the early 20th century until the 1960s. Based on the principles of heraldry—the study of coats of arms—each stable had a distinct motif. These motifs adorned the jerseys worn by jockeys and the horse rugs, allowing for easy identification of the stables during races.
