Hermes Jypsiere was introduced in the Fall/Winter 2008 Hermes collection. It was designed under Jean-Paul Gaultier’s creative direction. The Jypsiere is designed to embody the free spirit of a Gypsy. It epitomizes functionality on the go. The Jypsiere is inspired by the Birkin, with its swivel closure, straps and brackets. However, it has a thicker, rounded strap, which gives the bag a casual appeal.
